Akuchi's Story

For a long time, Akuchi's career and her role as a mother felt like they were pulling in opposite directions. Working as a Customer Service representative didn’t give her the flexibility or growth she wanted, and like many moms, she found herself wondering whether a bigger career move was even possible while still showing up fully for her daughter.

That began to shift when she joined MumsFirst's structured coaching program. Through consistent sessions and hands-on support, Akuchi started building the confidence and skills to look beyond the role she'd settled into  and to consider a path she had always been passionate about: Project Management.

It wasn't an overnight leap. But with the structure and accountability the program provided, Akuchi worked steadily toward it, refining how she talked about her transferable skills, building her confidence for interviews, and learning to see her Customer Service experience not as a limitation, but as a foundation.

That work paid off. Akuchi transitioned into a Project Management position , a shift that changed more than just her job title. It gave her the stability and flexibility to be fully present for her daughter, without feeling like she had to choose between career growth and motherhood.
