Toke's Story

When Toke joined MumsFirst's Business Cohort, she was searching for direction. Like so many others, she had dreams and vision but she just didn't know where to start. As a newcomer to Canada, she found the silence around her especially discouraging: so much information felt gatekept, and few people were willing to share their own journeys.

Then a friend sent her a MumsFirst post on Instagram, and something about it felt different immediately. This wasn't a platform about parenting or marriage , it was about mothers and their goals, their businesses, their futures. For Toke, it was exactly what she needed.

She joined the Accelerated Coaching Program's Business Cohort, and the flexibility of the program made all the difference in helping her stay committed while balancing the many responsibilities of motherhood. But what truly stood out to Toke were the connections and the practical, real-world guidance. From her very first session, she was introduced to people working in her exact area of interest ,access she hadn't found anywhere else. It wasn't theory or slides. It was real collaboration, real examples, and actionable advice she could put to work immediately.

Through the program, Toke gained the tools, the confidence, and the network to take her business from an idea into something real. She launched her very first event — proof, in her words, that with the right guidance and community, nothing is impossible.
